Recently our customer, who is an aerial survey company, needed their Conquest 441 engines overhauled. The problem was that when the plane is down, they aren’t earning income.

SOLUTION: National Flight Services Instant Overhaul

With this program, the customer brings in their aircraft on a Monday and leaves the following weekend with freshly overhauled engines. The customer didn’t think we could do it but trusted us enough to give it a try. So recently the plane got delivered on a Monday, but with a slight problem; in flight a prop spinner screw got thrown against the windshield and cracked it as well as putting a nice dent in the prop. NFS didn’t let that stop them from meeting their delivery time. The happy ending was that the plane got delivered six days later, not only with freshly overhauled engines but a new windshield and a new prop blade.

To whom it may concern,

Within the past year I overhauled both of my MU2 Solitaire engines at National Flight in Toledo, Ohio. I investigated other major shops but settled on National Flight because of their very competitive bid for doing the work (less than the other major shops), an excellent reputation for quality work and standing behind their work after leaving the shop, and as an added bonus Ohio tax structure allowed for very favorable tax treatment vs. other locations.

As it turned out my engines with close to 5800 hours had apparently been "ridden hard and put to bed wet" by previous owners for most of its life. Many more components than normal required replacement, all on National Flight's nickel, but they never came back begging for more money. All the work was done with a smile and most professionally. I now have an aircraft which is "turbocharged" performance wise compared to before.

National Flight's support after the sale has also been exemplary. A month or so ago I had an engine problem, and it was not certain which of two components were at fault. National Flight shipped both at no charge with the recommendation to change out both so that either way the plane would be functional in rapid order.

The folks at National Flight are great to deal with. They are truly concerned with making the customer happy, as they have done in my case. I view them as friends rather than just a business relationship. Bottom line, would I go with them again? You bet!
